Meramec’s Contemporary Art Gallery is hosting a month-long exhibit for artist Marilee Keys from Nov. 13 through Dec. 12. Keys focuses on recycling common materials and turning them into modular art.
This exhibit incorporates many items that would be seen in a garden, from plants gathered from the Soulard Garden Co-op to tomatoes and beets pressed onto paper.
The cycles of life through Keys’ art pieces start with seeds, continues to the roots, grows to the petals and sometimes into food.
The exhibit is located in the Humanities East building in room 133 and is free of charge to anyone who would like to attend.
