On Wednesday Oct 10 ,2012, the Academic Advising department along with 28 faculty representatives at STLCC-Meramec will be answering questions students may have about choosing a major.
“The Meramec majors fair gives students the opportunity to learn about different degree and certification prgrams offered at ST. Louis Community College by visitng and speaking with faculty who specialize in these areas,” Academic Advisor Johna Grier said.
“The purpose of this event is to provide opportunities for students to explore the academic programs available to them at Meramec and to help students toward the process of declaring a program of study,” Grier said.
She also said that meeting with a faculty member who “has the background in the academic program provides the opportunity for the student to ask questions and receive information that will aid in confident decision making about vocational and educational goals.”
For students who cannot stop by, the academic advising office is available throughout the school day. The fair will be held in the Student Center, Oct. 10, 2012 from 11am-1pm.
