Meramec’s music department is presenting a choral showcase concert called ‘Visions of the Voice.’ The performance is Sunday, Oct. 22 at 3 p.m. and located in the Meramec theater.
The showcase features over 50 students, including students from the art and English departments.
According to Meramec music professor Dr. Gerald Myers, this is no ordinary concert. Myers is collaborating with the community to demonstrate the effects of music on art and how it inspires the creative process. Multiple departments are working with Myers in preparation.
The show will feature a student artist painting live during the performance and a special graphic design project to accompany one of the songs.
Seating is first come, first served and cannot be reserved in advance. Admission is free.
